Hoodwinked: An Economic Hit Man Reveals Why The World Financial Markets Imploded – and What We Need To Do To Remake Them by John Perkins

If you want an eye-opening look at what our government and those who are the financial elite are up to and how it affects out world and economy, then you want to pick up a copy of Hoodwinked by John Perkins. Yes, Perkins, does have a black and white view and we live in a shades of gray world. That doesn’t make this book any less shocking or compelling. We all basically know we are being hoodwinked by those in power and it’s only getting worse. We all know if we want to change we all have to do something about it other than just complaining. The beauty of this book is that Perkins was front and center, immersed in the economic villainy he writes about. This book is like a hidden camera in the offices of power and corruption. Some will love it and some will hate it, but anyone he reads it will have a definitive reaction. Yes, it seems to be a book steeped in despair and hopelessness for the economic future of anyone but the often undeserving rich, but if one reads between the lines, the message is one of hope and a call to action. Four out of five stars,
